How GreenFab supports companies in their transition
From the background and target groups to the three central pillars of the project.
Background
Why GreenFab
Small and medium-sized enterprises in the Greater Region face the same challenge: they want to make their production and logistics processes more resource-efficient and circular, but rarely have the capacity to test new approaches themselves in advance. This makes investment decisions riskier and slower than the ecological and economic benefits would warrant.
GreenFab closes this gap with a shared, cross-border infrastructure that no single company or institution could build alone.
For whom
Target group: SMEs in the Greater Region
The project targets manufacturing and logistics-related small and medium-sized enterprises in Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, Wallonia and Luxembourg. Through the approximately 40 planned demonstrators, they can experience sustainable solutions under real conditions according to the "Test before Invest" principle before investing – supported by independent assessment of benefits, effort and prerequisites.
What we want to achieve
Three pillars
~40 demonstrators
Hands-on use cases make sustainable production and logistics solutions tangible before a company invests itself.
